Arizona Sunrays All-Star Cheer Program
Welcome to Arizona Sunray’s hottest new program! For years, we have trained numerous cheerleaders and high school teams in tumbling, stunts and dance. Now it’s time for us to blaze into the All-Star cheer scene, and set it on fire! We know that cheerleaders are great athletes. With many of the same benefits of gymnastics and dance, and the important element of teamwork, cheerleading has developed into an exciting and challenging sport.
- What is All-Star Cheer?
All –Star Cheer is a competitive team sport incorporating skills from gymnastics, dance, stunting, and cheer. Divisions are determined by the grade of the participants at the time of the competition, regardless of the participants current age. - No cheerleader may represent more than one All-Star program at competitions.
All-Star teams train year-round (like gymnasts) for competitions and exhibitions with the goals of competing well and winning. All-Star Cheer differs from most other sports in that every team member is vital to the team and its performance. There are no benchwarmers and no second string teams. Each member of the team will train in all aspects of the sport in order to develop their skills and be their best! - What is our time commitment?
In addition to your scheduled training times, each team will attend a summer cheer camp to expand their skills and surround themselves with other athletes who believe in and work toward the same goals. Each team will compete a minimum of three times during the season at Regional, Invitational, and Championships in an attempt to secure a bid to Nationals.
