General FAQs

We feel we offer the very finest children’s programs in the Valley.  However, we also know that we cannot always offer what every child needs at all stages in their development, and that is why we offer the following guarantee: If during your child’s first month of class with us, you are not satisfied for any reason, we will graciously refund your 30 day tuition.

Our yearly membership fee of $40 per child, up to the first three children, gives your family full access to our app, an individualized parent portal, and dedicated family host services. This fee is so helpful because it allows us to provide top-tier safety training for our coaches, like CPR and SafeSport.  Plus, if you need to take a break from classes, you have the option to use tokens for Special Events like Open Gym, Camp, and Kids Night Out with an active membership. You can even transfer tokens between Valley locations!

Our classes are continuous throughout the year. You will be charged monthly tuition until we are notified of your intent to unenroll from class/es. We request a 7 day notice prior to a new billing period (1st of every month) to avoid being charged another month’s tuition. We cannot credit/refund for any unused classes. Unenroll through your parent portal on our website or through the mobile app.

You can sign up at any time. Your tuition will be prorated for the month you are starting. We ask that you pay for your prorated month and Membership Fee at the time of enrollment.

We recommend that girls wear a leotard, however this is not required. Fitted athletic wear with midriff covered is also acceptable. Boys should wear a T-shirt & gym shorts. Ninja uniforms are suggested for all NinjaZone participants. Long hair should be tied back. No jewelry, please. All students go onto the floor barefoot. Our Sunrays pro shop is fully stocked with a wide variety of leotards, shirts and novelty items.

Attendance is crucial to your child/s progression. Our highly qualified staff are always tracking your child’s progress. For our parent participation through preschool aged classes, move-ups are age based. For our Recreational classes, students are moved up based on completion of skill requirements. All children move at an individual pace. You will receive an email when your child is ready to move up. Our priority is your child’s safety, enjoyment, and success!

Yes! We offer 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 min private lessons or semi-private lessons. These lend to a more individualized athlete experience. If you are interested, reach out to our office staff!

We offer makeup tokens to actively enrolled students when a missed class is reported. In order to receive a token, the absence should be reported prior to your class, and will be issued once the class has taken place. We do not track unreported absences. Call or see the front office to schedule your makeup. Tokens expire 12 months from the issue date. You can report an absence through your Parent Portal, by giving our office a call or sending us an email. To use your makeup tokens, your child must be actively enrolled in class(es) and tuition must be current. Makeup tokens can only be used for the student that it was issued for and cannot be transferred to other siblings or students. A monetary credit and/or refund will not be issued for missed classes. Makeups are a courtesy, not guaranteed. We always do our best to find an open spot in a class for your student.

Please stay with your student until they are called into class and meet them in the lobby once their class is complete. Children not enrolled in a class are not allowed in the gym, ninja or studio spaces at any time, they can remain with their adult in our lobby. Camp Sunrays FAQs

Our Camp hours are 8:00AM-3:00PM. Please arrive on time so your camper can enjoy all the activities!

We ask that all campers be 4-11 years old to participate in camp. We require all campers be potty trained and able to use the restroom independently.

Various gymnastics circuits, dance, Ninja Zone, special guest demonstrations, trampoline, crafts, group activities, cinema time, water games and more!

For the optimal experience, we suggest comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in. Please send your camper with easy on-off shoes and a possible change of clothes for water activities. Please apply sunscreen prior to arriving for camp each day. Each camper will need a refillable water bottle, a cold packed lunch and 2 snacks.

There is a question that asks for any special accommodations on the camp registration form. In the event an EpiPen/medication is needed, our front desk will securely store it for the day. All our staff is CPR/First Aid Certified.

We place all campers in groups based on their age range. Our groups are built on a safe coach to camper ratio.

Advanced registration is required. Registration after 5PM the day prior to camp will result in an additional fee per camper. Camp fees are due at the time of registration.

Camp registrations can be adjusted up to 72 hours prior to your enrollment. If a future camp date is not available a full credit can be applied to the family account. This credit can be utilized for classes or other special events.

*Makeups are unavailable for missed days of camp.
*If a refund is determined to be necessary, a $10 per day administrative fee will be assessed.

iTeam FAQs

Monthly tuition for iTeam:
White — $184
Teal — $261
Purple & Black — $314

Other fees:

Apparel — $109 (leotard, shirt & gym bag)
Competition — $107
Team bonding activities & clinics — $54

iTeam is an invitation only program. If the gymnast is demonstrating interest and enjoyment in our programming, iTeam is a natural progression!

iTeam is ideally a school year program, but we often find athletes remaining with the program year round. Attending most competitions and events is highly encouraged. On the off chance you’re unable to attend an event, simply fill out the opt-out form no later than 7 days prior. If you opt out after that, 50% of the event fee will be credited to your account.

Nope! You can enroll in multiples of each or only one iTeam class, whatever you prefer! We recommend a dance class to help with musicality and dance elements like leaps and turns that are included in the floor and beam routines.

Skill progressions are tracked in iClassPro. You can locate these through your parent portal. Invitations and move ups happen multiple times a year.

iTeam is a stand alone program that is designed to serve gymnasts of all interest levels. iTeam can be a vehicle for a more competitive path with Sunrays, but is not a guarantee to Developmental or Xcel.

Most iTeam events are held at our Phoenix location. When we can, we offer Sunrays hosted off-site competitions once or twice a year.  Check the event calendar above for more details.

Ninja Team FAQs

Ninja Team is an exciting, competitive branch of NinjaZone! During classes, Ninjas will dedicate their time to enhancing skills and combinations to prepare for Ninja meets where they’ll compete with and against other Ninjas of their level!

Sunrays Ninja Team is an invitation only program. Ninjas need the recommendation of their coach or a program coordinator. Coaches and leaders are seeking Ninjas who have an eagerness to learn, help those around them and try new things!

Monthly tuition for Ninja Team is $184.
There is an apparel cost of $63 (shirt, wrist band and shorts).
There are approximately 4 competitions per year and the entry fee is $84 per competition.
Team clinics are $43 each.

Ninjas can do both Ninja and Ninja Team classes. You can enroll in multiples of each or only one Ninja Team class, whatever you prefer!

Ninja Team is a commitment similar to our Ninja classes. In other competitive programs, we’ve found many families commit for a full school year. But there’s no obligation. It can be done monthly.

Just like our Ninja classes, skill progressions are still tracked in iClassPro. You can locate these through your parent portal. Invitations and move ups for Ninja Team happen a couple times a year to provide better consistency and allow them time to master their skills.

All Ninja meets will be held at our North Phoenix location (32nd St. Greenway). You are automatically enrolled in every Ninja Team event. Check your event calendar for more details! To opt out of a Ninja meet, please fill out the event opt-out form 7 days prior to the event.

Team clinics are opportunities for the Ninjas to hone specific skills and combos.
