Inside the Magic of Arizona Sunrays Summer Camps — Meet Our Awesome Guests!

Hey there, Sunrays families and friends! ☀️

Summer is almost here, and if your kids are anything like mine—buzzing with energy and ready for some serious fun—you’re probably already thinking about how to keep them engaged, active, and inspired. That’s where Camp Sunrays comes in.

What makes our camps so special? Sure, we’ve got the gymnastics, the games, the crafts, and the smiles—but this year, I’m beyond excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at our incredible lineup of special guests that take the experience to a whole new level. Trust me, your kiddos are going to be talking about this all year long.

Let’s take a look at what’s coming up:

🌞 May 23 – Summer Launch Luau

We’re kicking things off with beach vibes and summer spirit—no special guests, just ALL the fun. Think limbo contests, tropical crafts, and sunshine smiles.

🧱 May 27–30 – Minecraft Camp

The movie’s coming soon, and our coaches are diving headfirst into blocky fun. We’ll have camp coaches in costume, transforming into Minecraft characters for a week of creativity, teamwork, and pixel-perfect adventure.

🦸‍♂️ June 2–6 – Marvel vs. DC

Three superhero movies are hitting theaters this summer, and we’re celebrating in epic style. Thanks to Superhero Rental of Arizona, your kids will get to meet Iron Man AND Batman. Yes, the caped crusader and genius billionaire are visiting Sunrays!

💅🏼 June 9–13 – Barbie and Just Ken

Cue the pink sparkle! Our friends from Happily Ever After are bringing Barbie and Ken to life. Whether your child loves fashion shows or dance parties, this week is about confidence, creativity, and pure glam.

🍄 June 16–20 – Mario Kart

Get ready to race! Princess Peach and Bowser are coming in hot from Superhero Rental of AZ to bring the Mushroom Kingdom to our camp. We’ll be building obstacle courses, dodging banana peels (okay, not really), and letting imaginations run wild.

👽 June 23–27 – Aliens vs Astronauts

With Disney’s Elio coming out, we’re taking a trip into the cosmos. Our guest? The Arizona Science Center! They're bringing hands-on science fun straight to camp—expect slime, rockets, and all things out of this world.

🦖 July 7–11 – Dinosaurs and Dragons

This week is a roaring good time with the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary! We’ll meet real animals and learn all about animal adaptations, just in time for the release of Jurassic Park and How to Train Your Dragon sequels.

🦈 July 14–18 – Shark Week

We’re working on something jaw-some with Wildlife World Zoo. They’re bringing zoo animals to us! It’s the perfect pairing for Shark Week, and we can’t wait to see what surprises they swim in with.

🪄 July 21–25 – The Wizarding World of Arizona Sunrays

Get your wands ready! Magician Matt Lemm is making magic happen—literally. This week is pure enchantment, with spells, potions, and a whole lot of imagination.

🧱 July 28–August 1 – LEGO Brick-tastic Bash

What better way to wrap up summer than with Brixperience? This hands-on LEGO event is full of building challenges, team competitions, and blocky brilliance.

🏰 August 4–August 8 – Inflatable Festival!

We’re pulling out all three of our giant inflatables from storage and turning the gym into a bounce paradise! No outside guests needed—just nonstop jumping, sliding, and giggling.

Each week has a theme that keeps kids engaged, but it’s these guest experiences that really make camp unforgettable. We can’t wait to see the wonder on your kids’ faces—and honestly, I might be just as excited as they are.
