Arizona Sunrays Hosts an Olympic Watch Party

As a parent in the Valley of the Sun, you know the annual summer struggle. When triple-digit temperatures become the daily norm, finding ways to keep your children active, engaged and away from endless screen time feels like a full-time job. You need a solution that bridges the summer gap with healthy physical development and social interaction.

Enter Camp Sunrays.

Hosted by Arizona Sunrays, Camp Sunrays has become the gold standard for indoor summer camps in the Greater Phoenix area. But what exactly makes it the top choice for local parents? Here is why families keep coming back year after year for the ultimate summer experience.

1. Beating the Heat in a Premium Indoor Environment

Outdoor sports are fantastic in the winter, but Phoenix summers demand a climate-controlled environment where kids can burn off maximum energy without the risks of extreme heat or dehydration. Camp Sunrays takes place in fully air-conditioned, state-of-the-art facilities. Your child stays cool, comfortable and protected from the sun while safely expending all that boundless energy.

2. Action-Packed Activities for Every Child

At Camp Sunrays, we believe summer should be a time of high-octane fun and growth. We offer a diverse range of activities tailored to keep campers aged 4 to 11 constantly engaged. A typical week includes:

  • Gymnastics & Tumbling: Utilizing Olympic-grade equipment like trampolines, foam pits, and balance beams.
  • NinjaZone: High-energy obstacle courses combining agility, climbing, and precision movement.
  • Dance & Creative Movement: Helping kids express themselves and build coordination.
  • Beyond Athletics: Fun crafts, water games and special guest demonstrations ensure a well-rounded day.

3. Exciting Themed Weeks

No two weeks are the same! Our immersive theme weeks like 'Jurassic Jungle' and 'Wizard World' keep the summer exciting, inspiring parents to imagine their child's joyful adventures.

4. Safety and Professionalism You Can Trust

As a parent, your ultimate priority is peace of mind. Arizona Sunrays stands out because our staff undergoes meticulous background screening and continuous safety training. All of our coaches are CPR and First Aid certified and hold USA Gymnastics certifications. We group campers by age with a strict coach-to-camper ratio, ensuring personalized attention and a positive-reinforcement environment that builds confidence.

5. Flexible Options for Busy Parents

We know that summer schedules are chaotic. Between work, family vacations and carpools, flexibility is key. That’s why we offer, based on location, both Full Day (8:00 AM - 3:00 PM) and Half Day (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM) options, along with Extended Care from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (varies by location). Plus, with four convenient locations across the Valley—Phoenix, Arcadia, Carefree, and Surprise—top-tier sports programming is always close to home.

What should my camper bring and wear to camp? Campers should wear comfortable athletic clothing (easy on-and-off shoes, shorts, T-shirts, or leotards) that allows for a full range of motion. Please send them with a refillable water bottle, a cold-packed lunch, two snacks and a possible change of clothes for water activities. Please apply sunscreen before dropping them off!

Is lunch provided? At our Phoenix location, the Sunrays Café offers healthy meal options for snacks and lunch throughout the week (options vary by inventory). You can register for meal options alongside your camp registration. Otherwise, campers should bring their own cold-packed lunch.
